Post You Never Realize Just How Short Life Really Is
We had to put our dog Heidi down last friday afternoon.

It didn't really hit me till today.

But her eye sight and hearing were all but gone. She was such as good dog.

Rest In Peace little girl. I miss you.

We got her and her brother just before Christmas, 1992 at a few weeks old. They were so small I used to have to go out and make paths in the snow so they could do their business.

How nice to be able to pet her one more time.

Oh man Sorry to hear about your Heidi. It's always sad to read about there passing as there really part of the family.Your Furr kids so to say.
My Persian cat passed on almost two years ago now.. I never knew how really close I was to her till she passed away in my arms. I was crushed.

I never could get another pet after that. For Kim and I it was to hard.

To make us feel better I went to http://www.petloss.com and wrote her name on a list with other lost pets as a nice memorial to her.

Thank you for the support and the web site link. I asked she be added to the list.

Even with our two cats the house still somehow seems empty.

Thank you.

Pets do become a part of your family. You miss them just as any family member when they are gone.

Maybe at some point we may get another dog but right now it's too hard to even consider.

Sorry for you. It is sad to see them go, but at least she is at peace.

Thank you Andrea and Donna for your support.

She had a tumor on her leg that the vet swore he got all of and said it wouldn't return. But it did. So we're certain she was in pain from that but she never complained.

With Heidi, if she didn't like something she'd let you know. I had the teeth marks more then once to prove it.

The friday we put her down, she could not get up walk. We took her to the vet's and they suggested we let her go.
