Post Henderson Car Show
There is a HUGE car show every year in Henderson, NC that cars form as far as Florida and West Virginia come around for every year in the old down town Henderson. It will be (I think) October 17-18th this year if anybody is interested. My dad and I are putting our 1950 Chevy Truck in it for this year, so if anybody wants ot make an excursion to NC, come on down :)

Post Re: Henderson Car Show
yeap... you just reminded me of a little story my dad once told me.

he was in Henderson one day, almost home since we lived in Henderson at the time (only 15 miles right now anyway). another truck driver came over the CB asking for a local, and an address he'd never heard of. My dad asked him to read the entire address thinking maybe its in some neighboring community.. it finally came out "Hendersonville, NC".... my dad said "Thats the probelm, you're in Henderson, not Hendersonville". The guy came back and said "Henderson.. Hendersonville, whats the difference?"

My dad said "About 300 miles"

According to PC Mielr, it's only 278.

The bad part, this guy came all the way from Los Angeles, he drove RIGHT BY the exit for Hendersonville

I wish it would have been in Hendersonville I would have been there, no doubt!

Hendersonville is only about a hour to an hour and a half ride. Henderson would be 6 hours. :!:

Also, sometime during the show at the community college they induct new members of hte East Coast drag racers hall of fame.. some of hte cars on one part of Garnett Street (old downtown Henderson) is the dragsters.. they have live music, venders, burnout contests, all kinds of crap.
