The 1950 Chevy Truck is FINISHED!!!!

Here are some pictures tooken in the yard (my dad on hte porch while I drove up to it) and in an old church about a half mile from my house that meet about once a month. Hope you guys like it!! I took 7 months from when we got it half assembled and unpainted, but she is finally finished _________________ Standing astride the Monte Mill like an mythic figure of old.

Cowboy6622 Official Member Joined: Tue Dec 04, 2007 11:10 pm Posts: 416	Re: The 1950 Chevy Truck is FINISHED!!!! thanks for all the compliments guys. jared, the engine is a 261 inline 6 out of either a 54 or 55 chevy truck. this is what it came to us with and waht we left it with. it was actually a fairly popular upgrade as it had lots more power than the stock 216. most people think we need a big V8 in it, but thats not very original at all!!! my dad and I wanted it to be original, so we left it as is. lots of people like to put the bodies on old Mustang II or even 80's Monte Carlo chassis' and put big V8's in them... but thats not the way we wanted to go. we wanted to go as original as possible. as for the color scheme, i've heard that they could come that way and that they didn't. you still see several around like that regardless. thats the way my uncle jerry had it painted before we got it, and we loved how he had it painted so thats what we did . i drove it to school monday... it really turned heads _________________ Standing astride the Monte Mill like an mythic figure of old.
