 Re: Cordova Dragway 5-23-08
hte pcm should make a big difference.. it took .300 from my 1/8th... but experiecne has to factor into this as well. i'd say you should be able to break into the 15.5 brackets with a PCM

 Re: Cordova Dragway 5-23-08
well i just got done installing the pcm... that could hav been easier lol
the heat shield around my k&n is a pos... the thing was peelin and rusted from where it was sitting.. i ended up just taking the whole thing out and the pcm mounting software is gona have to come back out 4 me to paint it because the parts were rusted together...
then after i got the pcm connected the damn car wouldn't start... the fuel pump and electronics turned on but no engine turnover... after rechecking everything, doin a batter disconnect and reconnect, leaving the key in the on position for it to relearn it STILL wouldn't start lol... so i ended up messing w the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob and she fired up FINALLLYYYY
well im definitely in love w/ my new shift points... its kinda nice living on the borderline of the countryside lol... great test rds.. i took a lil drive down the street and then floored it.... majorrrr throttle response and she was hauling ass up til about 110... so much for my testdrive today...we'll see what tomorrow brings hehe

 Re: Cordova Dragway 5-23-08
sometimes you have to reset the security system when installing a new pcm. you ahve to like turn the key on, levae it for 11 mins, turn it off again.. .something like that.

 Re: Cordova Dragway 5-23-08
Glad ya had fun at the track again, and see told ya after a bit you will be able to find peps to hang out with...
decals look good, and congrats on the new times...
Also congrats on the pcm, sorry to hear it didn't go in so smoothly, but mods rarely do...
And Although you should see better numbers at the track with it, don't be to upset if you don't right off the bat..I have known quite a few people who did high end performance mods and actually went slower then stock. Just may take some tries down the track before ya see better numbers...
as for the switch points, I rememebr how ya flipped out over my shift kit so I'm sure your having fun with yours...
I also know that several people had issues with the cartuning turbo kit, and one of the issues was just what your having the traction light going on and off for no reason at all....anywho hope ya get your issue straightened out soon..
Good Luck, Joe

 Re: Cordova Dragway 5-23-08
i actually did get it all worked out yesterday thanks to some help from trickracing....
ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the pcm ... i put my heat shield back on too cuz i thought it might be an issue w/ the pcm try stability and the heat shield really locked it down so it didn't move at all... also disconnected and reconnected the battery and then let the key sit in the on position for about 10 minutes for relearn...
then i took it for a test drive.... no lights went on and i made sure to try all sorts of driving conditions and even messed around w/ the traction control being on and off.... also started and restarted her a cple times to make sure....
no problems *crosses fingers*

an example of how small of a town eldridge really is: so yesterday im driving home from school and get off the exit on 61 to turn into town.... an eldridge cop actually stopped traffic to direct off ramp traffic into town.....this goes to show what little we hav going on.... granted i got home a lil faster rather than havin to wait in a huge line.. but i did find it a lil humorous
