Dear Members of MMG and fellow Monte Carlo Lovers,

We regret to inform you that Monte Millenium Generations will have to postpone our Memorial Weekend Event, Speedway Knights 2009, until next year 2010. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused to those that were planning on attending or already made travel plans for this event. For those that have already pre-registered, your registration and merchandise fees will be refunded immediately.

We were recently notified by the Flat Rock Speedway that there are some unavoidable projects that must be completed due to the State of Michigan that fall within the timeframe of our event. We extend a hand of thankfulness to our friends at the Flat Rock Speedway for informing us of this “speedbump” as soon as they caught wind of it.

In the meantime, the Speedway Knights site (http://www.speedwayknights.com) will be temporarily removed until late Summer or Fall of this year. Until then, we at Monte Millennium Generations will be busy planning and scheduling even more events for next year’s Speedway Knights Show. We guarantee an even bigger and better show next year with more twists and turns, and YES, even more high octane FUN!

Tom (the Pres) and I checked out all the hotels in that area and this one seemed to be the nicest for the price.. and the rooms are very nicely decorated and CLEAN too!

its $63 plus tax for a queen bed room
its $69 plus tax for either a king bed or 2 beds (im not sure if they are 2 queens or 2 fulls)
if you want to go all out they have jacuzzi suites for $119 plus tax.

To far Joe??? I am the cheap fool here and I am going. Most likey taking pops SC. IT is a 10 to 12 hr trip.

Not about money,

1.) It's just before Tony's seapirate and it's hard to do 2 cruises in as many weekends, especially when one is 10+ hours for me...I know I know many have traveled farther, but 10+ Hours is ALOT...I said if I do that again it'd be to go south (Ocean City and beyond), North (Upstate New York) Or East (Conneticut/Boston) just to change up scenery.

2.) Monte will be upgraded with a Full turbo kit by then...I'd be hesitant to take it that far and race around a track and come back with it...as it was last time I did that (MiS) I blew up my tranny and just barely made it home...

3.) For a twisty road coarse/burnout contest, etc, I'd rather throw down with the GTO, but it is an all Monte event...

4.) I'd even fly out to check it out, but last time I tried that, it didn't work out so well, and I had to cancel the trip

Oh well, I'm sure there will be other events for me to hit up and see you at next year, this one however I do have to pass on... Have a great time, and I expetc lotsa pics!!!

Joe I am rollin 2 -4 days after running my show to roll out to MI. No biggie u will be missed.

I will take a ton of pics and if I got me a camcorder I will take video also.
As for the turbo. If the motor is done rite the turbo will not have an issue making it out and back. I drove my Turbo Diesel out to Greensburg and back with no issues. Just a dirtier air filter thats all.

Thanks Andrea but see my resoning number 4...lol...and besides if I did fly out I'd need to rent a car, I wouldn't wanna put anyone outta there way, and I just need to know I could jump into something and drive...deja vu alll over again...Thanks though

And Sean, I wouldn't mind it so much if my car came stock with a turbo (Or superchargered) but with an aftermarket one, even with all the proper installation/parts/tune, that's still a lot of stress to put on a block that wasn't meant to handle that....don't wanna go all the way out there and get left stranded...

I will see, I have plunty of time to do the install and test it out....I also have to check vacation time, I have another busy year ahead of me so I have to plan it all out....And if I find a driving buddy, that'd help toooo...

If you do not make it u will be missed. Good luck with the turbo mod. I am not going to Tony's show to much for 1 month. The Sat b4 Mothers day a buddy has his and I help, mine is the next weekend than Speedway Knights. Will be a good month.

Hey everyone we are proud to announce Speedway Knights, Monte Carlo Car
Show is a go and the website's now set and up http://www.speedwayknights.com
pre-registration's, rules, classes, sponsors are all set and the hotel
block's there as well there's a another map being added to show all of
the stores, gas stations, restaurants etc in the area will be added
aswell as a hit counter and a countdown date, but the site's ready and
so are we. We hope to see you all next year.

handing out fliers for it at the Meet and Greet on the 27th.
